businessman of over 40 years I have had the opportunity to stay in hotels for
both business and pleasure. I have
compiled a list of hotels I have frequently stayed at over the years, complete
with general information about the hotel followed by my own personal opinion
about the hotel. You may check for

Hotel Description The Hyatt Regency - West Hollywood is a deluxe hotel located on the
Sunset Strip, 12 miles from LAX International Airport. At Hyatt, they believe

This excellent hotel is located on the “Sunset Strip” in the heart of West Hollywood. Across the street from “House of Blues” and next door to the “Comedy Club”, this hotel is a little “pricey” at about $170.00 per night for rooms facing Sunset Blvd. Other rooms facing the other direction are about $120.00. There is a daily charge of around $15.00 for parking. The rooms’ feature such services as “in room” FAX and Internet access for the businessperson. An “A+” for accommodations for the Hyatt on Sunset. Hotel Description
The
Ramada Limited Hollywood is a first class hotel located near LAX Airport and
4 miles from downtown Los Angeles. Contemporary guest rooms are carefully
detailed and include all of the amenities that guest have come to enjoy from Ramada.
The hotel has recently completed a $3 million renovation of the entire
property which surpasses or equals the quality and amenities of any hotel
you'll find in Hollywood.

Nearest Travelodge to Universal Studios, Hollywood Bowl, Dodger's
Stadium, Los Angeles downtown all within 5 to 10 minutes driving. Closest
Travelodge to downtown and Union Station, famous Hollywood sign, Greek
Theater, Walk of Stars and Mann's Chinese Theater. All are within 5 to 10

This hotel is
an “excellent value” for about $80.00 per night. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and the persons manning
the desk are quite accommodating.
This is a “motel” type accommodation, with the ability to park your
vehicle right in front of the room.
This hotel is good value for the “buck”. Review

Hotel Description The deluxe 4 Diamond Four Points by Sheraton Fresno is conveniently
located near the Shaw Business District. It has spectacular grounds and
gardens. Dan’s Review
This is the
old “Smugglers” Hotel one of the best-kept and maintained properties I have
ever visited. Maintenance personnel
are continually working on the landscaping, pool and hot tub monitoring
constantly. The rooms are immaculate
and the service is perfect. They have
FAX and Internet access in the hotel lobby.
This is located on Blackstone Street in Fresno with a rate of about
$79.00 for a single. Everyone in
Fresno knows where “Smuggler’s” is located! Review

Hotel Description
Built in the late 1800’s,
the Paso Robles Inn has been lovingly restored and features a heated pool,
restaurant, lounge and a spectacular Sunday brunch. The property is located
within minutes of wineries, art galleries, the airport and beaches.
Dan’s Review
This is an old
hotel with quite a history dating back some 100 years. Nice restaurant, fairly nice rooms (not as
clean as I would like) in “old” downtown Paso Robles. The rates are right around $115.00 – 180.00 Review

Hotel Description The Holiday Golden Gateway is a first class hotel located 16 miles
from San Francisco International Airport and 1 mile from downtown San
Francisco. The hotel offers their guests completely renovated, spacious rooms
with fantastic city views. Holiday Inn offers consistent quality and value at
every location. All of the rooms feature modern amenities to fit the needs of
the business traveler or leisure guest.
Dan’s
Review This hotel is
beautifully located on Van Ness St. In San Francisco in the heart of the main
district and about 5 minutes drive to the financial district, North Beach and
Fisherman’s Wharf. The rooms are
large, clean and well maintained. The
rates are about $120.00 per day/single with $15.00 parking charged. A nice bar and restaurant is an added plus
for this nice hotel. Review
